“Knife Party”(国内粉丝亦称其为”刀党”)是由两位著名Drum＆Bass（曲风）乐团”Pendulum（摇摆）”的核心成员”Rob Swire”和”Gareth McGrillen”改组成的双人电子浩室音乐制作团体。最初二人同在金属乐团Xygen，在一次夜店派对上二人在听到Konflict的作品《Messiah》后决定进军Drum＆Bass领域。2002年二人召入”DJ Paul Harding”后创生了融合摇滚曲风的Drum＆Bass乐团”Pendulum”并在三年后借首张录音室专辑《Hold Your Colour》蜚声业内。2007年乐团将首张专辑联合全新Drum＆Bass单曲《Blood Sugar》再发行同时着手筹创第二张录音室专辑《In Silico》，本张专辑于2008年正式发行并在主流业界内取得了空前的成功。无独有偶，2010年他们的第三张录音室专辑》Immersion》成功发行并再次得到业内的高度肯定。2011年5月25日，Swire在SoundCloud平台上发表了一支名为《Not Pendulum》的预览曲目。2011年8月5日，McGrillen和Swire在位于地中海伊比萨岛的一间夜店首次以”Knife Party”的全新组合形式亮相，团体名称取自”Deftones”于2000年发行的专辑《White Pony》中的单曲《Knife Prty》。
从艺历程：2011年12月12日通过华纳兄弟唱片公司发布了数字EP《100% No Modern Talking》，他们的第二张EP《Rage Valley》是通过EarStorm发布的。2013年5月6日通过EarStorm发布他们的第三EP《Haunted House》。他们还宣布了新EP发布的大致日期4月22日，稍后公布的最终发布日期是5月6日。2014年8月6日发布了预告片《Boss Mode》。2014年8月15发布单曲《Resistance》。2015年11月13日其官方Twitter页面公布11月20日发布新EP。
