Nox Arcana：
Nox一詞源于拉丁語，在羅馬神話當中是指夜之女神，夜神，掌管夢與死亡。
Arcana是拉丁文arcanum的复数，意思為「隱藏的真理」或「奧祕的知识」，塔羅牌的常用短語。
Nox Arcana的成立是由著名哥特藝術傢Joseph Vargo所創立。Joseph亦是Midnight Syndicate樂隊的靈魂人物，Midnight Syndicate樂隊的所有成員也成為Nox Arcana一員。啓發Joseph創作《Darklore Manor》源于他喜好黑暗題材，在Darklore Manor得到靈感。當他有這個想法的時候，Joseph集閤團隊和誌同道閤的朋友——作麯家&音樂家William Piotrowski共同創作一件發生在傳說中閙鬼屋的音樂鬼故事。
兩個天才：Joseph Vargo和William Piotrowski
Joseph和William對于神祕、黑暗十分沉迷，由相片中透露齣他們對中古時代的偏愛。他們兩通過一些詭祕怪異之事以音樂形式给大傢一種全新的黑暗感受。William擅長鍵盤創作，他由15歲就開始他的音樂歷程，而Joseph的藝術氣質不止是融入在音樂上，他也是一名黑暗藝術插畫傢，所以Nox Arcana的CD封麵勾畫都是齣自他的手筆。
